Dr. Tahara Bhate is an Emergency Physician with University Health Network in downtown Toronto. Her academic interests are in quality improvement and patient safety, especially the incorporation of simulation and other unique methodologies into efforts to improve patient care.
Frederique Kyomi Labelle
Frédérique Kyomi-Labelle is a medical student at Laval University. In parallel with her medical studies, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management at McGill University and pursued her varsity sports career as a middle-distance runner for Laval U’s track and field team. With a long-standing interest in emergency medicine and a growing desire to address healthcare challenges at a system-level in addition to the daily clinical practice, she is currently devoting her efforts to acute care quality improvement projects. Her other areas of research include rural health and medical education.
Dr. Mike Coldwell is a PGY-1 Family Medicine resident with Dalhousie University. He was born and raised in Nova Scotia, went to Queen’s for undergrad, and returned home to do medical school at Dalhousie. He has a strong interest in EM and is very excited to be a part of the CAEP team as Learner Lead for the Leading Edge Track.
