Tasleem Nimjee

Dr. Tasleem Nimjee is an Emergency Physician at Humber River Hospital – North America’s first fully digital hospital. She plays a pivotal leadership role as the Physician Lead for the COVID-19 Emergency Response, providing strategic guidance within the organization and at provincial tables. She represents five hospitals in the central north Toronto at the Greater Toronto Area Hospital COVID-19 IMS table. She has held numerous leadership positions including Interim and Deputy Chief of Emergency Medicine. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Medical Innovation at Humber River Hospital where she drives a culture of innovation in the medical community. Dr. Nimjee has been featured in Toronto Life Magazine as one of The 50 Most Influential Torontonians of 2020 along with five other outstanding front-line workers in the number one spot. She has appeared on numerous media outlets to keep the public informed on topics related to emergency medicine and the pandemic. Dr. Nimjee received her Bachelors and Masters of Science at McMaster University, followed by her Doctor of Medicine and specialty training and at the University of Toronto.
