
Courtney Howard
Dr Courtney Howard is an Emergency physician in Yellowknife, a Clinical Associate Professor, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, and the past-president of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment. She researches the health impacts of wildfires, and is on the editorial advisory boards of the Lancet Planetary Health and the Journal of Climate Change and Health. She has done policy work for the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change and CODA Change (from the creators of SMACC), and is the Co-Chair of advocacy for the World Health Organization Civil Society Working Group on Climate Change and Health.
