Resident members are especially important to CAEP. You represent the future of emergency medicine in Canada. Our goal is to engage residents to continue to be involved with CAEP and to shape EM in the future.

Great Canadian POCUS Championship

Qualifying Round

Saturday, June 8th from 0900 – 1200 at CAEP24

This event will see teams of residents, medical students, RNs and paramedics compete against each other to work through cases that utilize POCUS and SIMULATION. This year we will be combining the technical skills and know-how of POCUS with the team collaboration and communication of simulation to solve clinical cases and we’ll see one team take home the glory on Sunday for the finals.

Hands on skills sessions

Saturday, June 8

Come by our skills trainers to learn how to hone your skills (or develop them for the first time) at cricothyroidotomy, central lines and chest tube insertion. These sessions will focus on hands-on practice within the setting of clinical cases to consolidate technical skills and teamwork.

We will have a selection of esteemed program directors and assistant program directors from both the FRCPC and CCFP-EM programs from across the country to answer questions from prospective emergency medicine residents.
