A Message from the Conference Chair
Guy Hebert, MD
We are thrilled to be hosting CAEP’s national conference June 1-4, 2020 in the beautiful city of Ottawa. CAEP 2020 promises to be exciting, leading-edge and one of the best conferences yet.
This year, with a special partnership with Queen’s, the organizing committee members worked to build an amazing program. Sparkling plenary sessions will inspire. Dedicated track chairs and exceptional speakers will lead the scientific program. Content will focus on innovation, clinical practice, and tackle issues such as sustainable practice, advocacy and the future of emergency medicine. The top-notch research program will showcase original Canadian research. Sim Olympiad and Sonolympiad will entertain and thrill. New this year will be a Geriatric EM Marketplace, a sim booth and an afternoon of small group workshops. In short, there will be something for all - community and academic physicians, rural and urban, students, resident physicians, and paramedics. The social program including the popular Docs that Rock will set the stage for friends to gather and explore the cultural and natural beauty of the nation’s capital.
We have much to be proud of in Canadian Emergency Medicine; this community is diverse, resourceful, and strong.
We hope you will agree that we are “Better Together.” Come join us as we connect, inspire and thrive in Emergency Medicine in Ottawa!
