Be part of #CAEP24!
You can continue to make #CAEP24 a more inclusive and exciting experience as a track chair, vice chair or learner lead. We invite all CAEP members and committees to submit applications for conference track chair (EM in diverse contexts only), vice-chairs (all tracks), and learner leads (all tracks) Submit a letter of interest and cv by Friday, September 29th, 11:59pm PST here. Nominees must be CAEP members in good standing (you can update your membership here). #CAEP24 will be taking place in Saskatoon, June 9-12, 2024.
As we did last year, we’ll be putting out a call to emergency physicians across Canada to submit conference session ideas. All CAEP members will be eligible to rock the podium, run a workshop or be a part of a panel. We will be opening the submission process for the educational component of the conference on August 1, 2023 and it will close on October 15, 2023 (23:59 PT). Track chairs, vice-chairs and learner leads will select from these submissions to build tracks based on six high-yield areas:
- Everyday excellence in emergency medicine (focused on high yield clinical practice topics)
- The leading edge: Innovation and leading change (QI, hospital administration, technology, leadership, management)
- The learning continuum: Strategies for education, and training throughout emergency medicine (continuing professional development, academic leadership, fellowships and educational innovations)
- Society and Emergency Medicine (Social EM, journalism, politics, advocacy, climate change)
- EM in diverse contexts (global health, disaster medicine, rural and remote EM, prehospital care.
After selecting from submitted proposals, the track leadership team will be responsible for recruiting speakers for any unfilled slots (if any exist).
