Track 3 - DANGEROUS IDEAS IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Track Chair: Dr. Aaron Johnston
Room: TELUS Glen 206

Description:  A Dangerous Idea presents a cutting-edge or out-of-the box proposal for how to transform or at least improve some aspect of emergency medicine in Canada. Any CAEP attendee can present their proposal in a 5 minute pitch with or without slides.  All presentations will be limited to 5 minutes (with or without slides) and be followed by up to 10 minutes of Q & A by the audience.  The audience will vote for the most dangerous idea after all presentations are given.

Objectives:

1. Encourage innovation and out of the box thinking in emergency medicine
2. Provide a platform for CAEP attendees to present proposals that can improve emergency care in Canada
3. Enable the audience to appreciate innovative ideas from their colleagues and provide a venue for critical analysis.

The most dangerous idea will be published in CAEP Connects. Anyone intending to present at dangerous idea must e-mail their intent to Dr. Johnston (aaronupnorth@gmail.com) and Dr. Lang (Eddy.Lang@albertahealthservices.ca) by 2400 Monday evening.
